Start of a New Year at European Marble & Granite

The start of a new year always leads to new beginnings, change, and looking forward to what’s coming next.

Several members of our team are getting ready to head to Las Vegas for Design and Construction week, and we are all excited to see the innovations and trends coming for 2015 and beyond.

There is quite a difference in what we can expect to see, from texture to color to graphic to a new kind of old-world.

Texture  will continue to be big, and mixing a lot of touchable textures is ideal to create a cozy and luxurious space.

You also don’t need to be afraid to combine trends. Furniture style cabinetry, the color black, brass accents, and vein cut stones (in this case, travertine) work really well together in this kitchen.

The mixing materials trend extends beyond the kitchen as well. In this living room, rustic exposed brick, glossy ceramic tile, and smooth concrete work together really well.

This kitchen has great floating shelves which continue to be sought after in kitchen design because they help to provide an airy feeling and brighten up a space, especially because they provide an opportunity to display collections of dishes, cookbooks, and much loved kitchen items that we all like to keep close at hand. This kitchen has another trend; blue painted cabinets, with a subway tile that will always be classic along with black again, this time in the form of the range and hood; and brass accents and cabinet hardware with a dark stone floor and white Carrara marble countertops.
