Outdoor Patios and Living Areas

With spring here and summer just around the corner, a lot of people are looking forward to spending more time outdoors. Outdoor living areas are quickly becoming a common extension of our homes, so we want our hardscaping surfaces to be beautiful as well as functional. Here in the Mountain West where we enjoy picturesque winters and the freeze-thaw cycle that comes with them, a durable and appropriate tile or stone material that will retain its quality year after year is also important.

Concrete tiles and Pavers from our Arto line are a perfect choice. The patio below shows a 24”x24” concrete paver from Arto Brick’s Roman Collection.

Arto Brick is a family owned and operated custom tile, brick, and precast concrete manufacturer located in Southern California. In addition to all of that, we here at European Marble are happy to call them our friends. Our team was lucky enough to visit their factory a few weeks ago and while we loved their products before our visit, seeing the story in action and the care taken in producing every piece made it feel even more special.

The Roman Collection features a flat surface and clean square edge. It is a full line and includes stair edging and pool coping.

Decorative curb pieces are also part of this collection, and they can be used to build fountains and water features like this custom home for koi fish!

The great thing about using Arto’s concrete tile is that all of the pieces can match. Steps, copings, pavers can all be made at the same time, and there is a huge array of colors and sizes (including a chevron pattern!) so that you can create a personal and distinct design for your own backyard oasis.
