Marble Monday – Crema Marfil

Crema Marfil is a beautiful marble quarried in Spain that can vary from creamy almost white with very few veins to dark nearly peach tones with heavy, dark veins. Crema Marfil lends itself easily to creating a background for neutral elegance, and looks great in both modern designs and more traditional ones. Today we want to share how great this stone looks on custom fireplaces.

We did the fabrication and installation on this two story marble fireplace where we cut Crema Marfil slabs into various shapes and pieced them together. Not only was it a giant puzzle, there is also a radius curve involved in the overall design, so this was a really fun project for our shop to engineer, and we love doing custom and intricate work like this!

Here is another multi story Crema Marfil fireplace that we installed. This one features dark wood above and mixed in with the marble.

Crema Marfil is available in both tile and slab. We installed it as tile on this contemporary fireplace.

We love the way Crema Marfil is mixed with a Soapstone hearth and mantel on this fireplace. It’s not large, but the contrasting materials give it a lot of punch.

This fireplace is wrapped in Crema Marfil slab and trimmed with a thin wood mantel that integrates into the shelves on both sides.
